Consider My Groaning?

Today I share a video message thinking about prayer, “groaning” and biblical meditation. The focus of the video is Psalm 5:1, which says:

Give ear to my words, O Lord;
consider my groaning.

Psalm 5:1 (ESV)

And in another translation:

Give ear to my words, O Lord, consider my meditation.

Psalm 5:1 (KJV)

Hope you enjoy the video!

Sometimes the preview loads upside down, apologies! It will play just fine!

  1. Andy, there is so much to “ruminate” about your video. First, I admire the discussion of meditation, mindfulness, muses, etc..I do understand what you mean about Western infiltrating into our prayer life. To me, meditation is indeed meditating on God’s inspired words. I do practice yoga and mindfulness! But even in those, I’m running to Jesus. There are times in this crazy world that I “shut off” my mind. But then, I breathe in the Holy Spirit. I close my eyes and visualize Jesus. He walks with me everywhere. Thank you for the video, your faith, your wisdom, and your prayer! God bless you!
